Lens Description:

Introduced in 1990, the Canon EF 50mm F/1.8 II represents vintage optical engineering at its finest. The 50mm, f/1.8 Canon EF-mount lens employs a 6 elements in 5 groups (Biotar / Helios-style) formula — valued for its smooth background rendering and strong light-gathering capability — and features 5 diaphragm blades for refined bokeh. At 130g it is a compact and lightweight companion, accepts 52mm screw-in filters. I have personally used and tested this lens.
