Lens Description:
Released in 2012, the Canon EF 40mm F/2.8 STM is a compact and lightweight standard optic for Canon EF-mount cameras. Its 6 elements in 4 groups layout follows a Planar / Double Gauss formula, renowned for excellent centre sharpness and controlled aberrations. With a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture and 7-blade diaphragm, it excels at rendering subject separation and pleasing background blur. The lens accepts 52mm screw-in filters and relies on autofocus, manual focus. I have personally used and tested this lens.
